Field Manager

Michael Gladu

Mike Gladu returns to the North Adams SteepleCats as head coach for the 2025 NECBL season, bringing decades of coaching experience at the collegiate and summer league levels.

Since 2015, Gladu has served as the head coach of the MCLA Trailblazers, where he revitalized the program and earned MASCAC Coach of the Year honors in 2017 after leading the team to its first conference playoff berth since 2009. His summer league résumé includes head coaching duties with the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) and a stint as assistant coach with the Westfield Starfires.

Prior to MCLA, Gladu spent four seasons (2010–2014) as an assistant at Williams College, focusing on pitchers, player evaluations, and first base coaching. His passion for player development is evident in his extensive work with high school athletes, American Legion teams, and an 18U travel team he managed for three seasons.

A native of Cheshire, MA, Gladu played college baseball at Division II American International College before signing with the Chicago Cubs. He went on to spend two seasons in the Cubs’ minor league system with the Wytheville Cubs (Appalachian League) and Peoria Chiefs (Midwest League). A standout at Hoosac Valley High School, Gladu earned All-Western Massachusetts honors as a senior.

In 2016, Gladu was inducted into the UNICO Baseball/Softball Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the game.

Known for his deep commitment to growing the sport in the Berkshires, Gladu is an active mentor and advocate for youth baseball. His leadership, professional experience, and passion for the game make him a strong asset to the SteepleCats for the 2025 season.

Assistant Coach

Bryan Rosario


Bryan Rosario is a dedicated coach and health science professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Health Science, concentrating in Pre-Physical Therapy, from the Massachusetts College of
Liberal Arts (MCLA). He played college baseball at MCLA from 2019 to 2024, where he
developed a profound understanding of the game and the skills necessary for athletic success.
Bryan began his coaching career in 2018 with the NYCYSO Lady Rays, where he first
showcased his commitment to youth sports development. In the summer of 2023, he took on
the role of bullpen coach for the Pittsfield Suns, gaining valuable experience in a competitive
environment. Most recently, Bryan continued to build his coaching repertoire with the SAYO
Grays this past summer. In his current position with the North Adams Steeplecats, Bryan will
primarily work with pitchers while also assisting infielders, sharing his expertise and passion for
the game with aspiring athletes. Residing in North Adams, MA, Bryan was born and raised in
Queens, New York, bringing a diverse background and unique perspective to his coaching
philosophy.

Assistant Coach

Austin Rachiele

Born and raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Austin graduated from
Taconic High School in 2018 before continuing his baseball career at Division 3 MCLA. Over
five seasons (2019–2023), he earned multiple accolades, including Conference Player of the Year
and All-American Honors, after a record-breaking 2023 season. For his final year of eligibility, he
transferred to Division I Siena College for the 2023–2024 season, competing in the MAAC while
maintaining a batting average over .300. Austin's coaching career began in 2019 while he was still in
school, giving private lessons at The Infield in Pittsfield. Since then, he have worked with players
of all levels—from tee-ball to college—developing their skills in all aspects of the game. Austin
continue to coach at The Infield, specializing in hitting and defense through individual and group
lessons. This summer, he will primarily be working with hitters and outfielders for the North Adams
SteepleCats. Looking forward to a great season!

Assistant Coach

Robert Jutras


Graduated from Drury High School in 2012 . Played his college career at MCLA (2012-16).
Began his coaching career with MCLA after graduating , served as the pitching coach for one
season. From 2018-2020 was the Head JV Coach at Drury High School where he took over as
the Head Varsity Coach in 2020-present. Currently resides in Readsboro, Vermont.
